About Us
Green Cedar Lane is a small family-run creative business built by a mother-and-son team who both love to draw, make art, and notice the quiet beauty in everyday life. We live in a forest on an island in the Pacific Northwest, where much of our inspiration comes from the nature around us — the birds that visit our feeder, the owls and eagles we often see outside, the native trees along our daily walks, the changing seasons, garden flowers, houseplants, and the peaceful details of home. I studied botany in college, but eventually realized I preferred drawing plants to dissecting them, though I still love being able to identify the trees and plants we pass on our walks. I also studied figure sculpting at Gage Academy in Seattle, while my son has been building his own creative path through graphic design courses in high school and college and is considering graphic design as his major.
Our designs are created for people who feel at home around nature, comfort, and everyday beauty. They are not just for serious gardeners, but also for houseplant moms, bird watchers, cat lovers, flower people, cozy-home people, and anyone who feels a little more like themselves surrounded by plants, wildlife, books, gardens, and quiet creative moments. Every design begins with something we love, notice, or want to share — a small piece of art, a familiar feeling, or a bit of nature-inspired joy made wearable. Because each item is made to order, your shirt is printed especially for you after you place your order, helping us reduce waste while continuing to create thoughtful designs with care.
